2nd July, Manchester Evening News reports that Manchester United have not ruled out the possibility of Marcus Rashford leaving the club.

It is understood that Rashford's brother, Melvyn, has had discussions with a sports agency to assist with the player's future management. Last year, Rashford signed a five-year contract with Manchester United, worth £325,000 a week. However, he had a disappointing season and was often criticized by fans.

Sources within Manchester United insist that they are more inclined to keep Rashford and help him regain his form, with hopes that he can score 30 goals in the 2022-23 season. However, the club does not rule out the possibility of the forward leaving, especially after his relationship with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deteriorated last season. Rashford is set to participate in preseason training on Monday, and with the arrival of new sporting director Darren Ashworth, Manchester United may finalize Rashford's future.

Last season, in October, Rashford attended a birthday party a few hours after Manchester City's defeat. In January, he was involved in a drunken incident in Belfast. Manchester United's punishment for the latter incident was a two-week fine of £650,000 and Rashford was left out of the squad for the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Manchester United, aware of the profits from selling academy players as per the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules, certainly knows this. Currently, Rashford is valued at around £80 million, and Paris Saint-Germain is interested in him as they search for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. Additionally, another academy player at Manchester United, Ethan Galbraith, is in the final year of his contract, though the club has the option to extend it for another year.
